Rachel Armstrong

College of Engineering Honors Academic Advisor

Prior to joining the College of Engineering Honors Program, Rachel worked in the University Honors Program at Miami University where she advised students on academic and co-curricular experiences. Rachel’s other academic and professional experiences include teaching, student organization advising, e-portfolio systems, and residence life. She has worked with honors students for most of her career, and is passionate about connecting students to opportunities to thrive and grow.


Mike Dailey

Honors & Engagement Program Specialist

Coming from a family full of Michigan Engineers, Mike feels right at home here! He moved to Ann Arbor after working in advising and student life at Lone Star College in Houston, TX. In his current role, Mike assists with recruiting and admissions, advising, and the Engineering Common Reading experience. Mike enjoys running, tennis, soccer, volleyball, swimming, and board games in his spare time.

Honors & Engagement Programs Director

Stacie Edington might spend her free-time training for triathlons, but as Director of the Honors Program, she finds her stride helping Engineering students magnify their full potential.

Bonnie Karsten

Bonnie Karsten

Honors & Engagement Administrative Assistant 

Bonnie joined the Honors & Engagement Programs office team in the Fall of 2013.  As Administrative Assistant, she provides support to the Program Manager and office staff.  Prior to Honors, Bonnie spent 10 years in Electrical Engineering working for  the Center for Wireless Integrated Microsystems.


Colleen McNamee

Graduate Program Assistant

Colleen graduated from the University of Michigan in 2015 and is thrilled to be back in Ann Arbor as the Graduate Program Assistant for the Honors and Engagement Program office. In this role, her primary focus will be the Common Reading Experience. She is currently working toward a Master’s degree in Higher Education and hopes to pursue a career in academic and experiential learning programs. 

Aaron Ridley

Honors Faculty Advisor

Since Aaron Ridley’s humble beginnings assembling Lego cars and planes (with lasers!), he has been hard at work conducting foundational research in the near Earth space environment and serving as an advisor to undergraduate students in Climate and Space Sciences and Engineering.

EGL Faculty Advisor

While being a beer connoisseur might be one Larry’s favorite hobbies, his main focus as an advisor and professor in Industrial and Operations Engineering is making sure the students at the College have access to the absolute best resources out there.
