About EGL

Employers tell us that the inability of many professionals to communicate across cultures and across the engineering and business boundary is one of the greatest barriers to global competitiveness. The Engineering Global Leadership (EGL) specialization within the Honors Program prepares students to bridge these gaps.

Coursework in the Ross School of Business offers a focus in operations management, followed by a high-impact capstone project through the Tauber Institute for Global Operations. Completion of the International Minor for Engineers exposes students to the language, history and customs of another part of the world. Successful completion of both a bachelor’s and master’s degree in the College of Engineering allows EGL students to deepen their technical knowledge while preparing to become global leaders in engineering and business.
