Favorite EGL Memory
International volunteer trips to Peru and India. These provided unique memories with other EGLs that I am proud of.
Advice to Current EGLs
Be sure to complete at least one of the international volunteer experiences with EGL. Be sure to try new experiences when you are in college. Keep in mind your values and what is important to you as you make decisions on your next steps after school.
Fun Fact:
I am the Housing Corp Treasurer for the Michigan Alpha Phi Kappa Psi Fraternity at the University of Michigan.

Career Summary
I worked at Dell Technologies in a variety of roles within Supply Chain, Product Management and Executive Strategy and then pivoted into software and am now a Software engineer. I work at a start up in Brooklyn and hoping to continue diving in the world of technology.
Favorite EGL Memory
I really enjoyed the day to day conversations within the Honors Office and just meeting students from all around the engineering school.
Advice to Current EGLs
Your career and life may not always be a straight line up. There will be upswings and downswings but try to enjoy the process and journey rather than thinking about the destination. Surround yourself with a strong community which makes many of the challenges easier to bear and the celebrations more fun.
Fun Fact:
I didn’t code in college but now do it every day.

My entire career has been with Grainger.
Career Summary
I spent 5 years in various roles throughout Grainger’s supply chain organization working on operations, technology, and customer experience improvement teams. Most recently, I joined Grainger’s Merchandising & Supplier Management organization where I lead a team focused on profitable growth and gross margin optimization for our standard pricing programs.
Favorite EGL Memory
Memories made with my lifelong friends as well as volunteer abroad in Ecuador.
Advice to Current EGLs
Enjoy your time at U of M with friends. The memories you’ll make will last a lifetime and while it’s easy to stress too much over that next exam or big paper, be sure you’re taking the time to enjoy college and build meaningful relationships!

Career Summary
Jonathan is a successful entrepreneur who has built and advised multiple companies. He was co-founder and CEO of HookLogic, a marketing technology company that helped pioneer the retail media industry and was acquired by Criteo in 2016. More recently he helped found Greatwater Opportunity Capital, a leading real estate development firm focused on the city of Detroit, is active in food and hospitality ventures in Detroit as a partner in Marrow, and is an active technology investor and company advisor through Beyond Hook Ventures.

Getting my pilot’s license above the farm fields of Minnesota during my Tauber Project.

Devote yourself to something you’re passionate about and success will eventually follow.
